D&DEPARTMENT
Wooden Tray Round
Made in
Japan
D&DEPARTMENT's original round tray is developed using the wood-working lathe method in Hokkaido Asahikawa, a town known for its wooden crafts. 2 pieces of black cherry material with similar grain pattern and hue are joined together to prevent warping while nourishing the wood material itself and promoting a long period of use. The d47 restaurant has been using these round trays to serve food since its opening.
Dimensions: diameter 290mm
Kobo Akari no Tane
Founded in 2007 in Asahikawa. Founder Hiroyuki Inoue had no experience in woodwork when he started out. But he used his connections in the region that produces wooden products to gather knowledge and skills. He uses wood lathing techniques to create wooden light fixtures and toys, which requires highly advanced techniques among any wood-working skills.

・Due to the use of natural materials, the hue and grain are different from one another.
・Due to the nature of solid wood, avoid storing in direct sunlight or exposing to warm or cold air blowing out of air conditioner, or use in environments with high humidity or dryness to prevent warping.
・Clean using a wet cloth to gently wipe the surfaces. Rubbing with hard objects may cause scratches. Never use thinner, benzene, or alcohol for cleaning.
