No. 030
Manufacturing Area: Ichinomiya, Aichi Prefecture
Manufacturer: Canale Co.,Ltd. & Nagoya University of the Arts
Technique: Cut Dobby
Material: Wool 45%, Nylon 20% Polyester 35%
This bag was designed by third-year students in the textile design course at Nagoya University of the Arts. Mr. Akira Adachi of Canale Co.,Ltd., a textile planning company in Bishu, Japan's largest woollen textile production area, helped create the fabric. The fabric, named "Swallowtail Butterfly," was woven on a Schonherr loom, which produces a soft texture similar to that of hand-woven fabrics. Various types of wefts, including ribbons and shiny yarns, were cut by hand to create a chic color palette, but also to express the gorgeous atmosphere of butterflies dancing around wisteria flowers.

・A toothbrush is recommended for cleaning small areas such as the front hole parts where the straps go through.
・Stains of "hanao (a clog thong)" should be soaked in a diluted detergent and gently rubbed and washed.
・After washing, wrap it in a bath towel to remove its moisture.
・Dry in an airy, shady place after washing in water.
