Ikeuchi Organic
Founded in 1953 as "Ikeuchi Towel Factory" in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. They put effort into promoting safety while minimizing harm to the environment when manufacturing towels by using organic raw cotton as raw materials and using little amounts of chemicals and energy for bleaching throughout the manufacturing process. Organic cotton is harvested in farms approved by certifying organizations and grown using chemicals and fertilizer that meet the requirements. Products are labeled organic cotton when manufacturers strive to minimize harm to your health and the environment and assure the working conditions of farmers meet ethical standards during production throughout their manufacturing process, from the raw cotton to the finished product.

・Shedding pile
Should the pile shed, cut the base of the thread with a pair of scissors. Even if you cut the pile, the shed part will not spread to other parts of the towel. If the shed area is left uncut, it will cause further shedding.
・Use of detergent and fabric softener
To retain the original texture, do not use chlorine-based bleach or fluorescent whitening agent. Washing with powdered detergent or liquid washing detergent based on natural oils is recommended. Use small amounts of synthetic detergents. To extend moisture-absorbing capabilities, avoid using fabric softeners. Fabric softeners apply a smooth coating to the fibers to offer a soft texture after washing. However, this tends to make fibers repel moisture and lower moisture-absorbing capabilities.
