D&DEPARTMENT's original rectangular tray is made in Hokkaido Higashi-kaguramachi district, which is adjacent to Asahikawa and known for its wooden crafts. Uses woodworking techniques that join wooden pieces perfectly so that the joints are obscure. Made from black cherry that ages beautifully with time and finished with a paint that prevents ring stains to assure a long period of use.
Dimensions: length 350mm x width 265mm
Arms
An atelier run by a couple in Higashi-kaguramachi, a city adjacent to Asahikawa in Hokkaido. Utilizing wood-joining techniques, they manufacture boxes and trays. They pursue craftsmanship whose "items make use in everyday lives" and don't use any color coating to show the hues, texture, and warmth that is associated with wood.
・Due to the use of natural materials, the hue and grain are different from one another.
・Due to the nature of solid wood, avoid storing in direct sunlight or exposing to warm or cold air blowing out of air conditioner, or use in environments with high humidity or dryness to prevent warping.
・Clean using a soft dry cloth to gently wipe the surfaces. Rubbing with hard objects may cause scratches. Never use thinner, benzene, or alcohol for cleaning.
