The first overseas special issue of the "d design travel" series is completed!d design travel is a series of guidebooks that introduces each of the 47 prefecture's "long-lasting individuality" or "uniqueness" from an artistic viewpoint. In each series, the editorial team spends 2 months traveling around each prefecture and features articles on experiences that impressed them.
"Peace comes in as many forms as design."Today we know Jeju as Korea's crown jewel of tourism, a land of emerald seas and bountiful nature. But underneath that beauty lies a long-hidden and sad history. Making the Jeju issue meant learning the story of the 4.3 Incident, which I heard everywhere I went. I hope this issue can show readers in Japan, Korea, and all over the world how wonderful something as simple as peace can be.
The Jeju issue is a milestone in showing the world the importance of unique local design, and it's my heartfelt hope that "d design travel" can become a passport to the world in the truest sense.

"Traveling long life design"D&DEPARTMENT PROJECT, which works on the theme of "Long-Life Design", has selected the long-lasting "individuality" and "character" of each of the 47 prefectures from a design perspective and compiled them into a tourist guide called "d design travel".
"d design travel" presents only those things that have truly impressed the reader from the perspective of "long-life design" after traveling to the area as if the editors lived there. The "long-lasting things" and "local characteristics" that have taken root in each prefecture are selected and published as "d-mark reviews" in six categories, such as sights, restaurants, cafes, shops, hotels, and people.
"d design travel" is not an ordinary guidebook full of information, but a design travel series that introduces places that have a vitality and a message from the local area that will last even 10 years, confirmed by the sense of D&DEPARTMENT.
